Your driver picks you up from your hotel lobby at 03:00. You drive to Cairo in a private air-conditioned vehicle, with a short refreshment break on the way. The drive takes about 5 to 6 hours.
You start the day in the quiet early-morning streets of Old Cairo. Your guide shows you old churches, narrow alleys and daily life in the city's oldest quarters.
Next you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest archaeological museum. Your Egyptologist guides you past the Grand Staircase, the complete Tutankhamun collection and the colossal royal statues. Your ticket is included.
At midday you have an authentic Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch is included; drinks are paid on the spot.
After lunch you drive to the Giza Plateau. You see the pyramids of Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinos), the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, and you stop at the panoramic viewpoint for the best photos. A short camel ride is possible on request.
You end your visit in Khan el-Khalili, Cairo's oldest and liveliest bazaar. It is the best place to find souvenirs, spices, perfumes, jewellery and handmade crafts.
Around 15:00 you start the drive back to Hurghada. You arrive at your hotel around 20:00.
