Your private driver picks you up at your hotel in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Soma Bay or Safaga. You relax in an air-conditioned vehicle on the way to Cairo, with a refreshment stop on the way. The drive takes about 5 hours.
In Cairo you start with El Moez Street, one of the most important historic streets of Islamic Cairo. You see historic mosques, medieval houses, old city gates and atmospheric alleys, and your Egyptologist explains the history and architecture.
You continue to Khan el-Khalili, Cairo's famous historic bazaar. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and, if you like, relax with Egyptian tea or coffee at a local café.
You check in to your 4-star hotel and spend a relaxed evening with a view towards the Giza Pyramids.
You start the day with breakfast at your hotel before the main sightseeing program.
With your Egyptologist you explore the Giza Plateau: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Khafre with its remaining limestone casing near the top, and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. You stop at the panoramic viewpoint for the best photos of all three pyramids.
